Dappled Cities Indie Rock / Pop With a name like Dappled Cities, it was always going to be a bit different. But we just didn't know it yet. We thought we were doing what every band did; Just play loud. We even thought our name was normal. Early on we were described variably as a "cross between Pavement, The Flaming Lips and an episode of Sesame Street," and "some kind of weird shit that just rocks." Fair enough. Dappled Cities are preparing to unleash their 'Granddance' album upon an unsuspecting world. Recorded and mixed in Los Angeles & Nashville with a premier league production team of Jim Fairchild (of Grandaddy fame), Peter Walker and Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Tom Waits, Kings Of Leon).
